Our pub is your pub – it is about the people in it and the local community. Everybody is welcome including families with children.
Dogs welcome. Children and families welcome.
Pop in for a hot coffee and freshly made bar snack or check out our lovely range of beers, wines and spirits or cocktails.
We have books and board games and enjoy the traditional art of conversation!
We serve bar snacks all day, made in our own kitchen including double chocolate brownies, sausage rolls and cheese straws.

Breakfast, brunch and lunch menu served Tuesday to Saturday 10am-2pm.
Evening menu on selected dates and Sunday roasts on the first and third Sunday of the month.
Drinks
We’ve got a whole new line of drinks at the Black Swan, alongside a range of spirits, wine and cocktails. We also offer non-alcoholic drinks including fresh coffee, a selection of teas, juices and mocktails.
Hot drinks: freshly made coffee and beautiful teas
We love working with our produce partners locally, and our hot drinks range (including our delicious hot chocolate) is supplied by The Calypso Coffee Company who are based in North Walsham. For coffees, we serve Caffe Equator, a blend that has been carefully selected from sources that demonstrate Fairtrade, Organic, single origin and project lead or co-operative Coffee from around the world. Our teas are Birchall Teas, a family owned company with a reputation spanning back 140 years and proudly a member of the Ethical Tea Partnership.
Bar snacks and treats
We serve freshly baked bar snacks all day. These include sausage rolls, pastries, brownies and cake.
Darts, board games and books
We are home to our lovely regular darts teams and we also have board games and books for you to use whilst at out pub. Going to the pub is about socialising and connecting with each other and games over the table is a great way to make the most of this!
Toilets and facilities
Our pub does not currently have an accessible toilet, however we are working on a funding bid for a grant to enable us to install an accessible toilet and baby changing facility in the theatre.
Not-for-profit
Every penny spent in our pub, after paying our costs and staff wages, goes back into our activity and community projects here in North Walsham.
Smoking and vaping
Our venue (the pub and theatre) is a no-smoking and no-vaping area. We have an outside area, just outside the theatre. This is also a no-smoking area but we do have a designated area outside, under a shelter, for smoking and vaping. Please do not smoke just outside the doors, but use the smoking and vaping area. Please respect our rules for the comfort and safety of others.
